Most competitive comparison pages are written to conclude that the author’s product wins. This one does not. There is a clearly defined category of school where Eloit is the better choice and EdunodeX should not be on the shortlist at all, and it is worth stating that up front rather than burying it.
Eloit’s Footprint and Why It Matters for International Campuses
Eloit’s flagship school platform is Edisapp, alongside Credisapp for academic quality benchmarking, an eLearn LMS, parent and teacher apps, and an AI-driven website builder. The company publishes that it is headquartered in London with offices including Kakkanad in Kochi, Kerala, and Ontario, Canada, that it serves over 700 institutions worldwide, and that it holds ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification.
The customer names on Eloit’s own product pages are the substantive signal here rather than the headline number. Edisapp’s site references International House Bucharest in Romania, the Indian School in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and a client in Canada, alongside Indian schools. That is a genuinely multi-country installed base, not an Indian product with an export brochure.
For an international school, that footprint carries real weight. A vendor that already runs schools across several time zones and regulatory regimes has solved problems — multi-currency, non-Indian academic calendars, expatriate staff records, parent bases in several countries — that an India-only product has never encountered.
Eloit also markets AI capabilities on Edisapp including AI-assisted lesson planning, analytics and communication tooling, and its catalogue extends past the ERP into an eLearn LMS, a principal app, a smartwatch app, and Credisapp for academic quality benchmarking against frameworks including NAAC and CBSE SQAA. A school that wants accreditation support and school management from one vendor has a coherent story there.
If Your School Runs IB or Cambridge, Read This First
EdunodeX has no International Baccalaureate curriculum modelling. Not partial, not planned-and-nearly-there. There are no units of inquiry for PYP, no approaches-to-learning skill tracking, no criterion-based MYP assessment with the four-criteria structure per subject group, no Diploma Programme core handling for Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay or CAS, and no IB-format predicted grades or transcripts.
The same is true of Cambridge. EdunodeX does not model IGCSE syllabus codes, Cambridge assessment structures or Cambridge reporting formats.
If you are an IB World School or a Cambridge International School, this is not a minor gap you can work around with custom fields. Your entire assessment and reporting apparatus is the thing the software has to understand, and EdunodeX does not understand it. Eloit markets to international schools and has the multi-country installed base described above; on the strength of segment fit alone it is the more sensible starting point for that conversation, and we would rather you spend your evaluation time there than on a demo that ends badly.
We have not independently verified the specific depth of Eloit’s IB or Cambridge curriculum modelling, and you should ask them to demonstrate it against your own assessment structure rather than take either vendor’s word for it. The test is straightforward: hand the vendor one real subject group from your own school, with its actual criteria and grade boundaries, and ask them to configure it live in front of you. Curriculum modelling is the one area where a recorded demo tells you almost nothing, because every product looks capable until it meets a real rubric.
Where EdunodeX Is Built for the Indian Regulatory Stack
EdunodeX makes the opposite trade. It is built narrowly and deeply for CBSE, ICSE and Indian state boards, and for the Indian compliance apparatus that sits around them.
That focus shows up concretely. Fee handling is built around Indian instalment plans, sibling concessions, waivers and a unified ledger, with all money held as integer paise so rounding errors cannot accumulate. Payments run on a bring-your-own gateway model: the school connects its own Razorpay or Cashfree merchant account and collections settle directly into the school’s bank, with EdunodeX never in the flow of funds. Parent communication runs on the WhatsApp Business API with template management, which is how Indian parents actually receive school messages. Compliance covers UDISE+ export and a rules-based checking layer, with DPDP-oriented consent enforcement gating access to biometric and face data.
The operational differentiator is the automation pack catalogue: twenty-six production packs across fees, attendance, academics, engagement, compliance, operations and payroll, each individually switchable with school-editable thresholds, deduplication and a firing log. These run on schedule or on trigger without a human starting each one — chasing fee defaulters, escalating absence streaks, reminding teachers of marks-entry deadlines, flagging payroll anomalies. Alongside that sits a dropout early-warning model scoring students on attendance, fee and academic signals.
Board coverage is the other side of the same trade. EdunodeX models the assessment structures, grading schemes, report card formats and promotion rules that CBSE, ICSE and Indian state boards actually use, and the compliance layer points at UDISE+ and APAAR rather than at international accreditation bodies. A product built for every curriculum in the world tends to model each one loosely; a product built for one family of boards models it tightly. Which side of that trade suits you depends entirely on which board issues your students’ certificates.
Certification, Audit and Data Residency
Premium buyers increasingly ask for certification, and this is a straightforward point of difference.
Eloit publishes ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification. EdunodeX does not currently hold ISO 27001. If your board or your international accreditation body requires a certified information security management system, that is a factual gap and you should weigh it as one.
What EdunodeX does have is architectural: each school’s data lives in its own PostgreSQL database schema rather than sharing tables with other schools, payment gateway credentials are stored encrypted, permissions run through a custom role matrix a school defines itself, and consent status is checked in the query filter before biometric or face data is read rather than only at enrolment. EdunodeX does not publish a contractual uptime SLA, and you should ask for one in writing from every vendor on your list, this one included.
A Straight Recommendation by School Profile
IB, Cambridge or another international curriculum: evaluate Eloit and its international-segment peers. EdunodeX does not fit and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Multi-country group with campuses outside India: Eloit’s published footprint across Europe, Africa and North America is directly relevant experience. EdunodeX is an India-focused product.
ISO 27001 required by policy: Eloit publishes the certification. EdunodeX does not hold it.
CBSE, ICSE or state board school in India, single campus or a domestic group: this is where EdunodeX is built to win, and the argument is the automation layer. If the problem you are solving is that your staff spend their week on repetitive administrative chasing, a platform that performs that chasing on a schedule is the thing worth paying a premium for.
Other EdunodeX limits to weigh regardless of competitor: Tally integration is a one-way export rather than a two-way sync, APAAR submission to UDISE+ is prepared but not yet live pending credentials, there is no RFID support, there is no EMI or fee-financing partner integration, and the interface is available in English, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil only. EdunodeX publishes its price at ₹50 per student per month billed quarterly; Eloit quotes per institution, so obtain both in writing before comparing.
