Which Attendance Terminals Work with EdunodeX

School Operations & Strategy
Many schools in India already own an eSSL or ZKTeco attendance machine, or are about to buy one for the gate. This guide lists the terminals that send punches to EdunodeX, the one we suggest if you are buying for the first time, and the few settings the school office types in once.
How a Terminal Connects to EdunodeX
EdunodeX works with the push protocol that ZKTeco-family terminals use to send punches over the internet. Device menus call it ADMS, Cloud Server or Push Data, depending on the brand and the firmware.
ZKTeco and eSSL terminals that have this feature connect. When a student taps a card, the terminal sends the punch to EdunodeX over the school's internet connection. Nobody exports a file or carries a pen drive to the office.
Terminals That Work with EdunodeX
The models below are compatible by the manufacturer's published specification. Each one lists push data, ADMS or Cloud Server support on the manufacturer's or an Indian dealer's product page. EdunodeX confirms each model as schools install it and keeps this list current.
Buying for the first time? Start with the eSSL K30 Pro.
It reads cards and fingerprints, pushes punches to EdunodeX, stores 2,000 cards and has a built-in battery backup. It connects by LAN cable, and a WiFi version is sold as the K30 Pro + WiFi. A seller listing puts the LAN model at around ₹5,500 plus GST. Prices vary by seller and city, so ask your local dealer for a quote.

Your model is not in the table? Other terminals with a Cloud Server, ADMS or Push setting may work, but EdunodeX has not checked them. Ask us before buying: send the model name to hello@edunodex.in and we check it for you.
What the School Needs at the Gate
- One terminal at the gate. It needs a power point and an internet connection, either a LAN cable or WiFi.
- One card per student. Use 125 kHz EM proximity cards. Most schools have them printed with the student ID card. Check that the terminal you buy reads 125 kHz EM cards, because some models read only 13.56 MHz cards.
- An admin who connects the terminal once. In EdunodeX, open Attendance, then Attendance terminals, and register the terminal's serial number. Type the three settings shown there into the terminal's Cloud Server menu: the server address, the port, and proxy off. Confirm the terminal when the page shows “Connected from”.
Student and staff names and cards are sent to the terminal by EdunodeX. Nobody types at the keypad.
Cards, Fingerprints, Faces and Consent
A card tap is not biometric data, so cards need no biometric consent. Fingerprint and face punches are accepted only for people whose biometric consent is on file in EdunodeX. If a fingerprint or face is enrolled at the keypad for someone without consent, EdunodeX removes it from the terminal and reports it to the school admin.
What Is Not Supported Today
EdunodeX does not support Hikvision terminals, walk-through readers, or fingerprint and face sync between terminals today.
If your school uses an attendance system that is not ZKTeco-based, write to us at hello@edunodex.in. EdunodeX has a separate way to receive punches from other systems, and we tell you whether yours can use it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does our existing eSSL or ZKTeco machine work with EdunodeX?
It works if its communication menu has a Cloud Server, ADMS or Push setting. Look for one of those names in the terminal's menu. If you cannot find it, send us the model name and we check it for you.
Do we have to use fingerprints or faces?
No. A card tap is enough, and many schools use cards only. Cards need no biometric consent, so they are the simplest way to start.
Do we type student names into the terminal?
No. EdunodeX sends student and staff names and cards to the terminal after it connects. Nobody types at the keypad.
Can a school use more than one terminal?
Yes. Register each terminal by its serial number. Cards work on every terminal. A fingerprint or face is enrolled on each terminal separately, because EdunodeX does not copy them between terminals.
We have a Hikvision terminal or another attendance system. Can it connect?
Hikvision terminals are not supported today. For other attendance systems that are not ZKTeco-based, write to us at hello@edunodex.in. EdunodeX has a separate way to receive punches from other systems, and we tell you whether yours can use it.
Is our model confirmed to work?
The models in this guide are compatible by the manufacturer's published specification. EdunodeX confirms each model as schools install it and keeps this list current.
